B A N D - A I D

Remember when you were a kid and you used to put BAND-AIDS on everything? They were kind of like a status symbol, like: "hey im tough, and I get down and dirty". Even now, retailers sell all sorts of cool looking band-aids with SKULLS, hello kitty, sparkles...anything you can think of. We recently came across such a clever idea we couldn't resist sharing it. Graphic designer RODRIGO ALONSO has created a jewelry line full of surprises and irony. According to his website, Rodrigo Alonso Schramm is a:

Graphic designer, with recognized experience in the world of publicity. Noticeable academic of different universities and workshops in Chile and Latin America. Has worked in the image of large international brands as Renault, Lucky Strike, Warner Bros, Sony among others. Creator of the studio-laboratory Müsuc.

The First Aids Ring is a uniquely IN YOUR FACE piece that seems like something anyone would come up with, but we havent seen anything like it before. other pieces include a ring resembling a broken CONDOM, symbolizing risk and trust. There is also a necklace resembling a LOLLIPOP, where the stick is sterling silver and the "pop" is actually candy. You have to eat the candy to find the jewel. It's supposed to be a SENSUAL process "especially if you are in front of who gave it to you".

We love this stuff, especially the symbolisim...check the rest out on the WEBSITE
